City of Folly Beach Update #8: As of 5:00 pm ET. Power outages, curfew, restricted access updates. Use caution on the roadways!
Water's Edge Update: As of 3:15 pm ET a resident reported no flooding, but there has been some roof damage that hasn't been able to be fully assessed. Power is out in many, if not all of the units.
City of Folly Beach Update #7: As of 2:30 pm ET. The restricted access checkpoint is still in place with crews checking identification upon entry. Stay tuned for 5pm formal Hurricane Dorian update.
Hurricane Dorian Update 7:
We are still experiencing heavy winds and rains and power outages in many areas. We urge residents to stay indoors - reports of down trees and power lines are increasing this afternoon because the ground is saturated.
Local Reports: Hurricane Dorian is presently lashing the South Carolina coast. You can obtain updates from locals by tracking the Facebook group: I Love Folly Beach.
