We need everyone's help to manage the trash within the community corral.
Pickup: Trash is picked up by Public Works on Sunday, Monday and Thursday each week. They do not have the budget to add additional pick up days.
Dumpsters: Folly Beach Pubic Works is looking to convert from our current use of many trash bins to dumpsters. Hopefully, this will address a capacity issue.
In the meantime...
What You Can Do?: Understand the time of year where we have more guests enjoying Water's Edge, and take a moment to remind your guests, your family, your property manager, to help to manage the trash situation.
Work to find space in the bins for trash bags.
Don't place trash on top of bins or beside them.
Try to compact the trash to make additional room, whenever possible.
Don't leave bulk items in the corral. Contact the city of Folly Beach and make arrangements for pick up of bulk items.
To schedule a bulk pickup, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wildlife: Just a side note that it is not uncommon to find animals like, raccoons rifling through trash in our corral. When trash is not in the bins, trash gets strewn about, which leaves a complete mess for our Folly Beach Public Workers.
